JOIN US: BE THE LIGHT

Many opportunity excluded communities in Baltimore struggle with a lack of employment and educational resources coupled with the overwhelming burden negative narratives have on the lives of their residents . RICH is striving to address these issues through love, inspiration, and empowerment by being a consistent fixture that offers resources, hosts outreach events, and creates a personal approach to social impact together with the residents to restore inner city hope.

The RICH COFOUNDERS have developed their understanding of how to best serve the community and grow their offerings by participating in several different cohorts and fellowships; The Johns Hopkins Social Innovation Lab, Baltimore Corps Elevation Award, and The Aspen Institute’s Weaver Award. They have also received multiple awards and recognition from Red Bull’s Amaphiko Festival Medicine Show, Hopkin’s Baltimore Boost, and personal recognition from other social innovators throughout the Baltimore area. Michael was a finalist in the Baltimore Homecoming and Echoing Green Fellowship. Danielle earned a certificate in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania and was a speaker at the 2022 Aspen Ideas Festival.

“ You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt should lose its taste, how can it be made salty? It’s no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled on by men. You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:13-16
